Job Title

We are looking for an experienced Rust Developer to contribute to a cutting-edge project focused on evaluating AI-assisted Rust development. This role involves working on real-world Rust codebases, implementing features, debugging, refactoring, and writing comprehensive tests to ensure memory safety and correctness. Responsibilities: ● Write effective Rust code to tackle complex issues ● Implement new features with a focus on memory safety, ownership rules, and type correctness ● Refactor existing Rust code while maintaining functionality and performance ● Debug and fix memory safety, ownership, and concurrency-related issues ● Set up and manage Rust development environments including handling dependencies and feature flags ● Ensure best practices in Rust development, including proper error handling, concurrency safety, and efficient memory usage Requirements: ● Strong experience with Rust programming language concepts, including ownership, borrowing, and lifetimes ● Industry experience and knowledge of code quality, formatting, and best practices of software development ● Familiarity with Rust frameworks and libraries ● Experience with Rust’s testing ecosystem, including unit, integration, and property based testing. ● Knowledge of multi-threading and asynchronous programming in Rust. ● Ability to work with architectural patterns and refactor code without introducing regressions. ● Strong debugging skills, including fixing memory and concurrency issues. ● 3+ years of overall work experience with 2+ years of relevant experience with Rust ● Fluent in conversational and written English communication skills This role provides an opportunity to work on challenging Rust engineering problems while improving AI-assisted programming workflows.
