Job Title: Sr. System Administrator Location: HSR LAYOUT Job Type: Full-time Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network infrastructure, server management, cloud technologies, and IT security and be able to mentor and guide junior administrators. The Senior System Administrator shall play a key role in maintaining, upgrading, and securing our enterprise IT systems while ensuring smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities: System Administration & Support: Oversee and manage enterprise systems and infrastructure, including but not limited to servers (Windows/Linux), networks, storage, and virtualization environments (VMware, Hyper-V, VM Box, Cloud servers). Create user accounts in Active Directory and manage group policies. Provide advanced troubleshooting support for complex system issues and outages across both hardware and software platforms. Ensure that operating systems, applications, and networks are operating properly, identifying potential issues proactively. Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of critical systems and servers. Lead system upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal business disruption. Network & Security Management: Maintain network configurations, firewalls, routers, and switches. Manage and maintain of VLANs, IP Subnetting, MAC Bindings, and IP configurations. Monitor network performance, resolve any performance bottlenecks, and ensure secure connections. Ensure adherence to IT security standards and best practices. Manage network backups and restore procedures in case of system failure. Maintain and configure VoIP and IP phones, Softphone etc. Asset Inventory Management: Lead the management, tracking, and lifecycle maintenance of IT hardware (e.g., servers, workstations, mobile devices, network devices) and software assets (licenses, subscriptions, and applications). Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate asset records, perform reconciliations between physical assets and system records, and address discrepancies. Backup and Recovery: Manage and monitor regular backups and ensure the integrity of the system data. Design and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure continuity of operations in case of system failure. Conduct disaster recovery tests and documentation. Collaboration & Mentoring: Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality IT solutions. Provide advanced-level troubleshooting and mentoring support for other IT staff. Review and improve internal processes and procedures to ensure efficiency. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, policies, asset inventories, and procedures. Responsible for conducting system audits and preparing reports regularly. Generate regular reports on system performance, incidents, and resolutions. Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and network services. Ensure SLAs and contracts are maintained, and track performance for continual service improvement. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in system administration, IT support, or a related field. Proven experience with Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), and virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, VPNs, VLANs). Basic understanding of firewalls, policies, routing, and switching. Basic experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Private Cloud or Google Cloud. Familiar with SIP and VoIP Trunks. Expertise in system monitoring tools. Knowledge of backup technologies and disaster recovery best practices. Basic scripting skills. Strong knowledge of email server operations (cPanel, Cyberpanel, MS Exchange). Experience with database management (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stress situations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Team player with the ability to mentor junior staff. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of quality.
