Job Description

To be successful in this role, the project manager must have an entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills, ability to implement a strategic plan, strong bias for action, a continuous improvement understanding, well developed interpersonal skills, and data management skills. Reporting to the Global Sourcing Manager – Asia Pacific, Direct Materials, this position will interact with the Segment Supply Chain Directors, Supply Chain and Sourcing Management, Engineering and Quality functions within Dover OpCos as well as Dover’s Suppliers. This is an exciting opportunity for a successful supply chain leader in a highly visible leadership position with a career path of continued strategic contributions and advancement. * Minimum of seven years of work experience in the manufacturing industry with Sourcing background. * Ideal candidates will have a strong background in the Strategic Sourcing Processes and experience as well as the technical background in these categories: Hydraulics: cylinder, motor, pump, manifolds, valves, fittings etc. Electric motors: AC, DC, IEC, NEMA, etc. Pneumatics: Valve, Cylinder, Filter, accessories, etc. Bearings: Ball, Roller, Slewing Ring, linear bearings, etc. * Activity & knowledge in strategically planning for, & managing, all interactions with third party organizations that supply goods to maximize the value of those interactions. * Demonstrated ability to apply a systematic, disciplined approach to managing technical product sourcing to maximize value brought to the fast-paced decentralized environment. * Knowledge of technical drawings and specifications, including required tolerances, calculated fits, and manufacturing capability. * Working knowledge of supply chain principals (e.g., Design, Plan, Buy, Make, etc…), planning (e.g., material, production, demand), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. * Contract negotiation experience to establish a framework for the relationship between supplier and OpCo on an operational level with strategic activities taking place on an executive level. * Able to process a wide variety of information and data to create a cogent communication to drive understanding and actions for multiple functional in both Dover and OpCos. * Identify and drive deployment of cost savings, structuring cost reduction programs using value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) techniques, and other tool sets to reduce supply chain complexities and waste. * Strong spreadsheet skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data visualization) for analytics of data in support of sourcing decision making, pricing reviews, and process tracking reports * Proven interpersonal skills which enable the candidate to effectively work with and through others to accomplish cross-functional project work. *Excellent communication skills is a must, both written and vocal. *Demonstrated ability to navigate across various cultural landscape. Travel * Typically travels 30% of the time, primarily domestically. (May travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time for OpCo and supplier site visit and meetings - e.g., project updates, business reviews, and audits). Education Required: Bachelor of Engineering, Mechanical stream.
