Job Description

Role Title: SAP Delivery Manager (Manufacturing Organization) Reporting To: Head of Applications Indirect reporting To : Chief Information Officer Initial Location of Posting: Corporate office, Vadodara Position Overview The SAP Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and delivery of SAP projects within a large manufacturing organization. This role requires extensive experience with SAP modules, particularly FICO, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. The incumbent will ensure successful project execution, integration with third-party applications, and adherence to best practices. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and closure of SAP projects, ensuring timely, budget-compliant, and quality delivery. Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and milestones. Manufacturing Expertise: Optimize SAP solutions for manufacturing processes such as production planning, inventory management, and supply chain management. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions. SAP Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership in SAP modules relevant to manufacturing, including SAP FICO, SD, MM, PP, PM, QM, PS, and analytics tools like Data Lake and Tableau. Ensure best practices in SAP implementation and customization. Integration and Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with integration of third-party business applications, BASIS, and GRC. Manage and oversee the integration of SAP with other systems and applications. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of SAP consultants and functional experts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Recruit, train, and manage team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge. Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and management of expectations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and finance, to ensure project goals are met. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure SAP solutions meet business requirements and technical standards. Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within manufacturing operations using SAP. Develop and implement strategies to optimize manufacturing processes and drive operational efficiency. Risk Management: Identify and manage project risks, developing contingency plans as needed. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards specific to manufacturing. Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PMP, SAP Certification) is a plus. Experience: 10-12 years of experience in SAP project delivery, with at least 5 years in a lead role within the manufacturing industry. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and its implementation in manufacturing environments. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and their integration with SAP. Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies and their application in manufacturing. Deliverables of the role: Successful implementation of SAP projects within the specified timelines and budget.
