Purchase Manager (BOM Items) Exp of Purchase of Raw material, Sheet Metal, Plastic RM, Steel (CR shets & SS sheets) Job Purpose The role holder is responsible for on-ground implementation of purchase strategy & activity and for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price & that the function operates in line with the objectives of the business to add value and mitigating procurement risk, deliver cost savings, and report directly to seniors in the team Key Responsibilities Strategic • Responsible for reporting, on ongoing management of purchasing strategy & activity, to head of department and for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price Financial • Ensure optimizations of purchase expenses for the category of items assigned by implement measures for year on year reduction in purchase costs Technical • Develop and Maintain supplier relationships, contracts, contractual relationships & management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base under the guidance of seniors in the team. • Responsible for procurement of, NPD purchase, Raw materials- Steel, Plastics, powder paint, Electroplating chemicals, Phosphating chemicals and glue. • Responsible for Job Bought out items for products of all units. • Adhere to the purchasing policy, process, guidelines, any associated documents and take ownership for timely receiving supplies • Accountable to work for reduction in Instances of material being rejected on receipt/ at point of consumption due to quality issues and the value of rejected items/ Total value of items ordered • Validate purchase requisitions received from users and enquire with vendors • Determine areas of probable improvement for reducing the manual effort and automation of the purchase processes and working on those areas • Create purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated terms and conditions • Order materials as per negotiated and appropriately approved price • Track and follow up with vendor for timely delivery of material • Liaise with accounts department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices • Identify self-developmental needs and undergo relevant technical and behavioural training Other • The work already being done by the employee currently, shall continue to be performed by the respective individual Qualification:- B.tech Mechanical Exp:- Min. 12 years Salary up to 13 lacs
