Position: Area Sales Manager Industry: Construction Equipment (Material Handling and Road Construction Equipment’s such as Wheel Loader, Skid Steer Loader, Soil and Tandem Compactor, PTR etc). Location: PAN India Job Overview: The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, and expanding the market share of construction equipment within a designated geographical area. The role involves developing sales strategies, overseeing a team (if applicable), and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving revenue and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales & Business Development: • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory. • Achieve sales targets for construction equipment and related services. • Maintain relationships with existing customers while growing the customer base. • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor strategies, and industry trends. • Work closely with dealerships, distributors, and direct clients to maximize sales. 2. Customer Relationship Management: • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and decisionmakers. • Provide technical and commercial support to customers to help them choose the right equipment. • Address customer queries, complaints, and service issues promptly. • Organize and conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions for clients. 3. Sales Strategy & Planning: • Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve regional targets. • Monitor market conditions and competitor activities to identify sales opportunities. • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to management. 4. Team & Dealer Management (if applicable): • Manage and support a team of sales executives or dealership partners. • Provide training and guidance to improve sales team performance. • Coordinate with dealers to ensure effective product positioning and sales support. 5. Coordination & Compliance: • Work closely with internal departments like marketing, finance, and service teams. • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit terms. • Assist in after-sales service coordination and customer satisfaction initiatives. Key Requirements: 1. Education & Experience: • Bachelor Of Engineering. • 6+ years of experience in sales, preferably in construction equipment or heavy machinery. • Proven track record in achieving sales targets. 2. Skills & Competencies: • Strong knowledge of construction equipment and industry trends. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage and grow dealer networks and direct sales channels. • Strong problem-solving skills and customer service orientation. • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. 3.
