Job Title: Sales Engineer (Internal – Client-Facing)Department: Sales & Applications EngineeringLocation: Faridabad, HaryanaReporting To: Head of SalesIndustry: Flow Measurement & Valve Solutions (Industrial Engineering)Position Overview:We are seeking a technically proficient and client-focused Internal Sales Engineer to join our team within the Flow and Valves division. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between our clients and technical teams, supporting pre-sales inquiries, preparing quotations and proposals, and ensuring that client requirements are thoroughly understood and fulfilled. This role is vital in maintaining strong customer relationships, responding to inquiries, and promoting the right solutions tailored to the customer's process needs.Key Responsibilities:Client Interaction & Technical Support:- Serve as the primary internal point of contact for clients regarding flow and valves product portfolio. - Interpret customer specifications, process diagrams, and technical drawings to provide accurate and optimal solutions. - Provide prompt, professional responses to RFQs, inquiries, and product clarifications. - Guide clients in selecting the right products based on application parameters (flow rate, pressure, media type, temperature, etc.).Proposal & Quotation Management:- Prepare and issue technical-commercial proposals and pricing quotations using internal ERP/CRM systems. - Collaborate with the design, production, and procurement teams to align delivery timelines and technical requirements. - Follow up on sent quotations and proposals to convert inquiries into orders.Sales Coordination & Order Management:- Coordinate with the field sales team to support client visits, technical discussions, and proposal walkthroughs. - Work closely with internal departments (engineering, planning, production) to ensure smooth order execution and client satisfaction. - Track project timelines and communicate progress or changes to the client proactively.Documentation & Reporting:- Maintain accurate records of communications, quotes, and order history in CRM systems. - Ensure all documentation (data sheets, compliance certificates, installation manuals) is shared with clients as required. - Provide regular internal reports on quotation status, conversion ratios, and customer feedback.Product Knowledge & Development:- Stay up to date with product developments, industry standards, and competitor offerings. - Participate in regular training sessions to understand technical enhancements and new product launches. - Support product management in collecting client feedback for future product development.Key Requirements:- Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering (or related technical field). - Experience: Minimum 2 years in internal sales or applications engineering, preferably in valves, instrumentation, or industrial process equipment. - Industry Exposure: Experience in flow measurement, industrial valves (control, ball, butterfly, gate, etc.), actuators, and instrumentation is highly desirable. - Technical Skills: Ability to read P&IDs, process specs, and technical drawings. Familiarity with ASME/API/ISO standards is a plus. - Software: Proficient in MS Office, CRM platforms, and engineering selection tools.
