Job Description

The ideal candidate will play a role in the development of multiple parts of the business by analyzing past, current, and future business trends. This individual will establish strategies to achieve desired outcomes and implement these strategies. They will often work cross-functionally with internal business units in order to understand the challenges that these teams are face and provide solutions to these groups. A.Technical Skills Requirement Analysis: Ability to gather, document, and prioritize business and technical requirements. Data Analysis: Proficient in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macros). SQL for querying databases. Documentation: Experience in creating BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), FRDs (Functional Requirement Documents), and SRS (System Requirement Specifications). Modeling and Diagramming: Use case diagrams, process flows, and data models (UML, BPMN). Tools: Lucidchart, Visio, Draw.io. Technical Communication: Understanding of APIs, system integration, and technical specifications. Project Management: Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Tools: JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project. Testing and Validation: Conducting UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Writing test cases and ensuring system functionality aligns with business needs.B. Non-Technical Skills Analytical Thinking: • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and propose actionable insights. Communication: • Strong verbal and written communication for effective stakeholder engagement. Problem-Solving: • Critical thinking to propose creative and feasible solutions. Interpersonal Skills: • Collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Adaptability: • Ability to work in dynamic environments and handle evolving requirements. Requirement Gathering & Analysis:Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to understand and document business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize requirements based on business value. Ensure that all requirements are clear, concise, and feasible from both a business and technical perspective.Documentation:Create and maintain detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), System Requirement Specifications (SRS). Develop process maps, flowcharts, and wireframes to visualize business processes and system functionalities. Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team. Manage relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their requirements are properly understood and met. Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a timely and effective manner. Testing & Validation: Support the testing process by preparing and executing test cases, particularly for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate that the delivered solution aligns with business requirements and provides the intended value. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness. Project Tracking & Reporting: Monitor project progress and report on key milestones, deliverables, and risks. Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the expected quality standards. Training & Support: Provide training to users on new systems or processes. Create user manuals and documentation to support the adoption of new solutions. Change Management: Support the change management process, documenting and communicating changes to requirements or deliverables. Ensure that all changes are properly assessed and approved by relevant stakeholders. Expert on Government project deliveryKey Skills and QualificationsExperience: 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role (for Junior BA) also proven track record in requirements gathering, process modeling, and stakeholder management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in requirements analysis, process modelling, and documentation. Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and SQL for querying databases. Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and waterfall methodologies. Strong knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Lucidchart, and Visio. Experience in UAT and test case development. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. Adaptability and the ability to manage changing business needs.Certifications (Preferred but Not Required):CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional)—IIBA. CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis)—IIBA. ECBA (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis) – IIBA. CSM (Certified ScrumMaster)—Scram Alliance. PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis)—Project Management Institute.
