Years of Experience: 1-2 years Role Overview: We are seeking a Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) who is organized, detail-oriented, and deeply interested in social media content creation. This role extends beyond traditional DIT responsibilities — the ideal candidate will work closely with our Director of Photography (DOP) team and Post-Production team to elevate the content we create. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, have strong data management skills, and are excited about contributing to impactful storytelling, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: ● Data Management: Manage and back up large volumes of video footage, ensuring data integrity and efficient file organization. ● Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement effective data management workflows that streamline the handoff between production and post-production. ● Content Enhancement: Work closely with the Post-Production team to provide organized data that allows editors to focus on storytelling. ● Media Integrity: Ensure all media is safely stored, organized, and easily accessible throughout the production lifecycle. ● Tech Management: Manage hard drives, cards, and data transfer equipment to ensure seamless content delivery. Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: ✅Organized and Detail-Oriented: Able to manage large amounts of data efficiently with clear systems in place. ✅ Technically Skilled: Familiar with camera file formats, data wrangling tools (e.g., ShotPut Pro, Hedge), and file organization best practices. ✅ Social Media Savvy: Understands the dynamics of short-form content creation and can support content teams to enhance visual storytelling. ✅ Collaborative Mindset: Comfortable working alongside DOPs, Editors, and Producers to ensure smooth content flow. ✅ Problem Solver: Proactive in troubleshooting technical issues on set or during data transfers. ✅ Interest in Conservation: Passion for Vantara’s mission and an eagerness to contribute to meaningful storytelling. Preferred Experience: ● 1-2 years of experience in a DIT or similar role. ● Strong understanding of video file formats, codecs, and data backup protocols. ● Experience working on content for social media platforms is a plus. ● Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or other editing software is desirable.
