Job Description

Job Purpose:The Head Quality and Safety will lead the efforts in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance across all construction projects. The role will involve driving best practices, troubleshooting issues, performing audits, and implementing corrective actions to maintain safety and quality excellence.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance and Control Development and Leasing EffortsOversee and ensure the quality of all construction processes, including design, materials selection, and construction.Develop and implement quality control standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.Conduct regular audits and testing of materials, processes, and finished construction projects to assess adherence to quality standards.Lead root-cause analysis and troubleshooting activities to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.Safety Management Develop and maintain comprehensive life safety processes and methodologies, ensuring compliance with local, national, and international safety standards.Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and create mitigation plans.Monitor and enforce safety regulations on construction sites, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.Lead safety training and awareness programs for site teams, contractors, and stakeholders.Leadership and Team ManagementLead and manage a team of quality and safety professionals, providing mentorship and development opportunities.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate quality and safety protocols into every stage of the project lifecycle.Maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and external auditors to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.Compliance & ReportingEnsure all construction projects are compliant with local regulations, building codes, and company policies related to quality and safety.Prepare and deliver detailed reports on quality and safety performance, including audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and project updates.Support the continuous improvement of quality and safety systems by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and identifying areas for improvement.Troubleshooting & Continuous ImprovementTroubleshoot quality and safety issues during construction, collaborating with the project team to implement effective solutions.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in processes, materials, and safety practices.Qualifications and Work Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).12-15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on quality and safety management.Proven experience in quality control, risk assessments, life safety processes, and troubleshooting in construction projects.Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.Expertise in risk management, quality control, and safety management.Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Ability to perform and manage audits, inspections, and testing procedures.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
