Head –Technology Operations (India and MEA) Location: Chennai, India Experience: 18+ years Industry: Energy, Utilities, Power Systems, Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Software Solutions Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Role Overview: The Head – Technology Operations (India and MEA) will be the primary execution leader for the CTO organization, responsible for driving, tracking, and delivering all critical programs across software development, solution engineering, architecture, product quality, releases, DevOps, and product support. This role will provide end-to-end visibility into program execution and serve as the single point of accountability for the India operations for CTO to ensure strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and timely delivery of key initiatives. In addition, this role will support technical sales efforts for non-USA geographies, working closely with regional sales teams to drive product adoption and customer engagement. Establish a structured execution framework to manage software architecture, engineering, QA, DevOps, product support, and solution delivery . Act as the CTO’s trusted advisor , providing real-time insights into program risks, dependencies, and progress. Cross-Functional Execution & Delivery: Oversee the execution of multi-disciplinary programs in software development, cloud-native architectures, grid automation, and AI-driven solutions. Ensure seamless coordination between engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and customer support teams. Track program KPIs, budget adherence, and resource allocation across CTO-led initiatives. Process Excellence & Governance: Implement and optimize Agile, SAFe, and DevSecOps best practices for predictable and scalable delivery. Define clear execution metrics, dashboards, and review cadences for real-time tracking. Drive release planning and risk mitigation strategies to ensure high-quality product rollouts. Risk & Issue Management: Identify bottlenecks, technical blockers, and execution risks early and drive resolutions proactively. Establish a strong escalation mechanism for timely intervention across critical programs. Ensure regulatory compliance, cybersecurity readiness, and infrastructure reliability for software solutions. Stakeholder & Executive Communication: Act as the primary interface between CTO leadership, product teams, and engineering functions in India and MEA . Provide executive dashboards, status updates, and risk assessments to the CTO and leadership teams. Facilitate quarterly roadmap reviews and strategic planning for technology initiatives. Technical Sales Support for Non-USA Geographies: Act as the technical liaison between product teams and regional sales teams in non-USA markets (Europe, Middle East, APAC, and other regions) . Support technical pre-sales activities , including customer engagements, RFIs/RFPs, solution demonstrations, and competitive positioning . Work closely with sales and business development teams to identify customer needs, tailor technical solutions, and enhance product adoption . Assist in the development of regional sales strategies, solution whitepapers, and product collateral . Engage with utilities, regulators, and industry bodies to understand specific market requirements and ensure product-market fit . Key Qualifications & Experience: 15+ years of experience in Technical Program/Technology Operations Management within software-driven energy, utilities, or industrial automation domains . Strong expertise in grid automation, T&D software, cloud-native architectures, AI/ML, and DevOps . Proven track record of managing large-scale software programs with cross-functional teams . Hands-on experience with Agile, SAFe, DevSecOps, and ITSM processes . Strong knowledge of T&D industry standards (IEC 61850, CIM, IEEE 2030.5, OpenFMB, NERC CIP, etc.) . Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field . Why Join Us?
