Job Description: Mobile Software Developer (Flutter & Android) – Startup Opportunity We’re a fast-growing startup seeking a skilled Mobile Software Developer to own and execute our mobile development efforts. As the sole mobile expert, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, reliable mobile applications that are critical to our business. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a high-quality mobile application using Flutter, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Improve and maintain our existing native Android app, ensuring it meets modern standards for speed and stability. Implement and optimize mobile solutions with clean, maintainable code that performs under real-world demands. Write and maintain thorough test cases (unit, widget, integration) to guarantee app functionality and resilience. Collaborate with team members to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver on schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges, ensuring consistent app performance and uptime. Keep up with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our mobile offerings. Take ownership of the mobile codebase and provide technical guidance as we grow our team. Required Skills & Experience: Strong proficiency in Flutter development, with a track record of building and deploying apps end-to-end. Solid experience with native Android development (Java/Kotlin), including maintaining and enhancing production apps. Expertise in popular Flutter state management libraries (e.g., Provider, Riverpod, Bloc, Redux) and their practical application. Proven ability to debug and solve complex, real-world mobile issues (e.g., performance optimization, crash resolution, or memory leaks). Experience writing comprehensive test cases to ensure code reliability and maintainability. History of delivering mobile projects on time with a focus on consistency and quality. Familiarity with mobile app architecture principles and a commitment to writing scalable, efficient code. Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced startup setting, overcoming obstacles to meet goals. Strong problem-solving skills and readiness to lead mobile efforts as the team expands. Nice-to-Haves: Experience with background processes, push notifications, or low-latency features in mobile apps. Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio of deployed apps. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile development. Basic familiarity with iOS development (Swift/Objective-C) is a plus but not required. Why Join Us?
