Ruder Finn is seeking a Senior Data Analyst (Data Analyst III) to join its award-winning TechLab team, reporting directly to the Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The chosen candidate will support the agency’s new business efforts by spearheading the research activities such as but not limited to earned media analysis, social listening, influencer identification, data modeling and predictive analytics. This individual will collaborate with several account teams within the agency providing counsel as needed on the various research and analytics needs of the agency’s clients. As Data Analyst III, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the Chief Technology Officer based in New York, NY, on several innovative Consumer, Technology, and Healthcare-related client accounts. The ideal candidate would be a digital native with deep expertise in and a passion for data visualization and storytelling, statistics, web analytics, social media analytics, and the ability to connect the dots back to business objectives. Ultimately, your work will help define the business strategy for projects and clients and play a significant role in the growth of the agency. This position will be fully remote, and the working hours will be 5:30 am – 2:30 pm ET (3 pm – midnight IST). Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the global Emerging Technology & Analytics team colleagues in research projects pertaining to new business or client mandates involving sourcing, analysis, and reporting of data and insights that measure the impact of our client’s business Use platforms such as Cision, Brandwatch, and other tools for social and media audits, setting up dashboards, and monitoring and analyzing results on a regular cadence (daily/monthly/quarterly) with minimal supervision Build measurement frameworks, set up searches and dashboards using Boolean queries, and develop client-facing insights and reports Deliver market and audience intelligence, including social and digital landscape analysis, audience behavior analysis, sentiment analysis, keyword research, search performance, and competitor analysis including but not limited to share of voice and message pull through Transform data into actionable insights through strategic storytelling Assist with primary research needs, specifically survey design and analysis Anticipate problems and provide methodology for recommended solutions Demonstrate an interest in AI trends and methodologies across social and earned media Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field A minimum of 4 years of agency or in-house experience in a data or research analyst role, preferably Experience working with U.S. clients Experience and expertise with writing complex Boolean queries and operating data and media analytics tools such as Cision, Brandwatch, Quid, Rival IQ, Meltwater, Signal AI, etc. Experience with custom LLMs and working with the contemporary LLMs (e.g. ChatGPT, Google Gemini, etc.) Strong project management skills, self-starter, ability to adapt and multi-task, and a proven track record of delivering quality and accurate results in a fast-paced and high efficiency agency environment Exceptional time management and adaptability across teams and accounts Strong collaboration skills Excellent problem-solving, creative thinking, general modeling, and data processing skills Excellent writing and presentation skills Extremely strong verbal and written English language communication skills Expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, Google Analytics and one or more contemporary data visualization platforms (e.g.: Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, etc.) along with SQL Proficiency in AWS, Python, R, and any other statistical computing or functional programming language is a major plus Experience with data modeling and developing custom models is a plus Ruder Finn provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy (including childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
