Role Overview We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our outbound prospecting team based in Hyderabad. This team plays a mission-critical role in generating pipeline by sourcing leads, engaging prospects through cold outreach and setting qualified discovery calls. The ideal candidate is a coach-first leader who thrives on process, data, and hands-on support to help SDRs succeed in each step of the outbound journey. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership : Manage, coach, and motivate a team of SDRs focused on outbound prospecting for the US market. Outbound Strategy : Own the end-to-end outbound motion—from defining Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), writing cold call scripts and email cadences, to prospect segmentation and sequencing. Performance Coaching : Conduct regular call reviews, email feedback sessions, and role-plays to continuously improve SDR effectiveness. Process Optimization : Establish and refine scalable prospecting workflows, outreach playbooks, and qualification criteria. Collaboration with AEs : Partner closely with US-based AEs to ensure smooth handoff of qualified leads and alignment on target accounts and messaging. Pipeline Accountability : Monitor key SDR metrics daily (calls, emails, meetings booked, conversions) and report on progress to leadership every week. Tool Utilization : Leverage CRM and sales engagement tools to track activity and optimize outreach. Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS or IT sales, with at least 3 years managing SDR/inside sales teams. Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing outbound teams targeting US-based buyers. Deep understanding of outbound prospecting strategies (cold calling, cold emailing, social selling). Strong coaching ability – especially around call messaging, objection handling, and value articulation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment with shifting priorities. Experience working night shifts or US time zones is a must.
