About the role The Senior Manager – Internal Audit Governance & Strategies will be responsible for supporting the Internal Audit Department (IAD) by overseeing governance initiatives, regulatory reporting, strategic audit planning, budgeting and performance tracking. This role requires strong expertise in regulatory compliance, audit governance, and process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the internal audit function. The individual will work closely with control functions and internal audit verticals, ensuring alignment with RBI requirements and governance best practices. What you will do Assist in Building and govern Audit Committee Executive (ACE) and Audit committee Board (ACB) reports. Provide oversight on audit plans, execution, and tracking across all verticals. Manage RBI-related matters, regulatory reporting, and RBI audit compliance. Facilitate and coordinate RBI connects, regulatory discussions, and inspection responses. Develop and maintain a progress dashboard for real-time tracking of audit performance. Ensure quality checks for IAD verticals, providing guidance on improvements where necessary. Design and implement training programs for audit staff to enhance skill-building and knowledge. Work on HR and organizational mandates related to audit capacity planning. Track and manage the ACE ACB action tracker, ensuring timely execution of governance actions. Maintain audit governance connects with control functions like Risk, Compliance, and Finance. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Internal Audit Tool for effective audit execution. Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization in audit workflows. Ensure continuous review and maintenance of Internal Audit policies and procedures. Support IAD regulatory compliance and performance review mechanisms. Independently carry out central function audits wherever required. What you will need Strong understanding of internal audit governance, RBI regulations, and compliance frameworks and audit processes. Expertise in RBI reporting, regulatory interactions, and audit inspections. Ability to oversee audit strategies, dashboards, and ACE governance frameworks. Experience in enhancing audit processes through automation and audit tools. Skills in capacity planning, training development, and performance monitoring. Strong engagement skills with regulators, senior management, and control functions. Experience & Qualifications: CA / MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification. Min 7 years of relevant experience in Internal Audit, Risk, or Governance functions of which at least 4 years in Banking Hands-on experience with audit governance, regulatory reporting, audit processes and audit planning strategies, various banking functions/processes.
