Role : Director of Quality AssuranceResponsibilities:Review current processes followed for writing and executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated) for Web and Mobile applications by the team and ensure a consistent strategy and approach is followed by all sub-teams and projects.This involves defining the standard Belzabar process along with checks and balances to ensure deviations are caught early and traceable.Identify factors that require customisation or tailoring of the standard process for specific projects/needs. Determine if such exceptions should be approved and identify if alternate procedures are needed to ensure exceptions do not compromise with quality and safety of our delivery.Standardise, institutionalise and accelerate our effort and focus towards improving the ratio of automated vs. manual testing.Document and facilitate process for communication and troubleshooting of issues, bugs, changes.Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.Collaborate with and lead other senior QA colleagues to accomplish all daily QA tasks on-time with a high level of qualityOversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and identifying/developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manage outside contract testers.Conduct touch base meetings with QA Leads, daily at least initially, to ensure they’re consistently following the defined procedures.Assist with project kickoffs and requirements/specs gathering to ensure requirements are clear, precise and verifiable.Assume ownership of estimation and planning tasks for new prospects and additional work from existing clients.Define status reporting mechanism using company recommended tools and ensure easy-to-review dashboards reflecting the current state of the project are available for all projects.Participate in hiring of skilled QA team membersProvide department specific orientation and training for new hiresMaintain open communication with internal teamsRequirements: Good analytical and logical skills to be able to think through the new application and strategise testingRelevant work experience in manual testing of Web applications.Team handling experienceDemonstrated knowledge of automated testing using Selenium or an alternate automation tool (Mabl)Good understanding of Web and Mobile based projects.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate quality concepts to technical (Architects/Developers) and non-technical stakeholders.Proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple, diverse projects simultaneouslyIdeally have experience with Linux environmentTechnical skills:Manual Testing, API Testing, Functional Testing, Web Testing, Mobile TestingBasic Qualifications:Any Engineering graduate with Minimum 10 -12 years of experience in quality assurance roles of which at least 6-8 years should be in leading end to end quality strategy of cloud native products with high levels of automation.
