Purpose of the role: The Manager/ Executive – Work across functions of Sales, Trade Marketing, Sponsorships for select modern off-trade/ browsable and premium stores. A role which works in tandem with the off-trade team to ensure additional focus for ABD maestro and super-premium and luxury brands for Sales and every aspect related to it. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring that the brand is well-represented in all identified outlets. The ideal candidate should understand the alcobev industry in general, F&B in particular, with good communication skills. Detailed Responsibilities: Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern-off-trade and premium outlets. Regularly visit identified outlets to ensure sales, brand visibility, product availability, and compliance with promotional standards. Focus on the depth of distribution for multiple super-premium and luxury brands and expand presence only in relevant outlets. Oversee all modern store promotions, visibility, merchandising along with the Trade Marketing team. Sales Strategy & Execution: In consultation with Regional Sales Head, ABD and Head – Sales & Marketing develop and execute sales strategies tailored to this channel, with a focus on driving volume and market share. Collaborate with the off-trade sales and marketing teams to create and implement promotional programs that enhance brand awareness and drive sales. Monitor sales performance against targets and in consultation adjust strategies as needed to achieve objectives. Brand Activation: Plan and execute brand activation events and promotions at identified outlets to engage consumers and drive trial and conversion. Ensure that all consumer engagement activations are aligned with the brand's identity and marketing objectives. Work with the Brand and Trade teams to develop point-of-sale materials, menus, and other collateral to support brand presence. Training & Education: Educate key modern trade shop and floor managers on the product knowledge, brand keys, and major selling points. Manage relationships with trade, promoters, key influencers, internal teams of direct sales, trade marketing and sponsorships. Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and changes in consumer preferences. Provide regular feedback and insights to the sales and marketing teams to inform future strategies and initiatives. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and submit monthly reports on sales performance, market conditions, and account activities. Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Others: Willingness to travel frequently to visit accounts, oversee promotions which may also include working late evenings. Passion for the alcohol beverage industry and a strong understanding of brand marketing. Experience: 5-9 years of experience. Experience in Modern Trade Sales, Trade Marketing, Key On-Trade Sales in alcohol beverage industry will be preferred. Experience in F&B, hospitality, especially in bartending, event management preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales or account management within the alcobev industry, specifically in the premium stores. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, F&B or a related field. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. MBA will be as an added qualification but not a must.
