We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled AWS lead. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the AWS environment at Head Digital Works Job Requirements Exp Range : 7 Yrs to 11 Yrs 1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field 2. Understanding of AWS Services: You must know key AWS services like EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, lambdas, RDS, Control Tower, WAF, and API Gateway. Know how to deploy and manage applications on these platforms. 3. Experience with Cloud Computing: Hands-on experience with cloud services beyond AWS, such as Azure or Google Cloud, is beneficial. Shows you can adapt to various cloud environments. 4. Proficiency in Coding: Be skilled in at least one programming language like Python, Java, or Ruby. Cloud engineers need to write scripts to automate tasks. 5. Knowledge of Linux/Unix Administration: Many AWS deployments run on Linux servers. Understanding how to manage these systems is crucial. 6. Networking Skills: Understand networking fundamentals including DNS, NFS TCP/IP, HTTP, and CDN technologies. Networking is key to setting up efficient cloud systems. 7. Database Management: Know how to work with database services like Amazon RDS or DynamoDB. Managing data is a big part of most cloud projects. 8. Security Practices: Be aware of security protocols for cloud computing. Protecting data and applications from threats is a major concern for businesses. 9. DevOps Experience: Familiarity with DevOps practices can be a plus. It shows you can help streamline development and operations tasks. 10. Troubleshooting Skills: Solving problems quickly when things don’t go as planned is essential for minimizing downtime. 11. Certifications from AWS: Holding certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer shows your commitment and expertise in the field. Responsibilities 1. Maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure for efficient performance. 2. Monitor system activity and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operation. 3. Implement security measures to protect data and maintain compliance with industry standards. 4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy scalable cloud solutions. 5. Develop automation scripts to streamline processes and enhance productivity. 6. Stay updated with the latest AWS services and best practices to drive innovation and efficiency. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration  Champion strong working relationships with various stakeholders, including IT, finance, legal, compliance, and external auditors, to align with broader organizational objectives.  Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members.  Manage team tasks and prioritization of work efforts including regular status updates and reporting to leadership. Reporting and Communication  Communicate risks and outages up to management and across lines of defence for remediation.  Prepare regular reports for executive leadership and relevant committees, providing insights into HDW risk and control status, emerging issues, and recommended actions. Skills and Abilities  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  Proven leadership experience in guiding security initiatives.  Ability to analyze complex systems and identify security risks.  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and emerging threats.
