Job Profile Summary The Manager, Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities related to the project, ensuring that the acquisition of supplies and services is done efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with statutory and organizational policies. This role will focus on devising procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the project team with budgeting and cost estimation. Job Descriptions As part of the project’s development, you will carry out the following responsibilities: Procurement Strategy & Execution:- Lead all procurement activities for the project, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for supplies and services. Develop and implement effective procurement strategies, ensuring that all sourcing decisions are aligned with the project’s budget, timeline, and quality requirements. Leverage foreign trade policy and trade treaties to optimize procurement processes, securing the best possible pricing, terms, and quality for the project. Project Budgeting & Estimation Support:- Collaborate with the project team to assist in budgeting and cost estimation activities, ensuring that procurement costs are accurately accounted for in project plans. Provide insights and recommendations to the project team on procurement-related budget adjustments and potential cost-saving opportunities. Vendor Management & Relationship Building:- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services. Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules. Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes in a professional and efficient manner, maintaining positive vendor relationships. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:- Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including customs, tax regulations, and import/export requirements. Adhere to organizational procurement policies and procedures, ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical sourcing practices throughout the procurement process. Regularly audit procurement processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Project Delivery & Timelines:- Ensure that procurement activities are carried out within the project’s timelines and budget, minimizing delays and cost overruns. Act as a key contributor to the project’s successful and timely delivery by ensuring that all required supplies and services are procured in alignment with the project’s goals. Job Requirements 10-15 years of experience in procurement within large-scale projects, with a focus on sourcing materials, services, and logistics. Previous experience working in a project environment, with an understanding of project timelines, budgets, and vendor management. Exposure to international logistics and procurement strategies is advantageous, particularly in dealing with cross-border trade. Strong understanding of procurement strategies, contract management, and supplier negotiations. Knowledge of foreign trade policy, trade treaties, and international procurement practices. Ability to manage procurement activities efficiently, ensuring that costs are controlled, and timelines are met. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt procurement strategies based on evolving project needs. Engineering degree (mandatory). Post-graduate qualification in Business Administration (MBA) is advantageous. Strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with project teams, vendors, and cross-functional departments. Adaptable and comfortable working in an international organization with diverse teams and stakeholders. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple procurement activities simultaneously. Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on driving project success through efficient procurement practices.
