Learn more at About the role We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team and manage end-to-end delivery of large-scale water treatment projects. This key leadership position will be responsible for driving the successful execution of projects, overseeing project scope, cost, and timeline, and ensuring smooth collaboration among stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of water treatment projects from initiation (PO) to final handover (Cash), ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.Develop detailed project schedules and monitor progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) and S-Curves analysis.Prepare Project Charters to define objectives, deliverables, and scope, and manage the project lifecycle efficiently.Handle cost management, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure the project is executed within budget.Coordinate with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors.Provide technical expertise, solving engineering issues related to water treatment systems and equipment.Ensure effective procurement, logistics, and resource management practices are followed.Manage cash flow and work closely with the finance team to ensure the project’s financials are tracked accurately.Create and maintain project performance dashboards to monitor KPIs and provide data-driven insights for decision-making.Required Skills & Experience:Education: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.Experience: 9 years of project management experience, with at least 3-4 years in water treatment projects.Experience managing large-scale projects, particularly in the range of ₹250 Cr.Strong knowledge of water treatment equipment and systems, with a mechanical or chemical engineering background preferred.Proven ability to handle pressure and manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage customer/vendor relationships and resolve conflicts effectively.Willingness to be based in Chennai but also flexible to spend 4-8 weeks at project sites during installation and commissioning.Ideal Candidate Attributes:Strong project lifecycle management skills and an ability to make data-driven decisions.Ability to manage a mix of Project Manager (PM) and Project Engineer (PE) tasks—50% PM experience
