Key Responsibilities:Fleet Maintenance and Management:Oversee routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of the fleet.Coordinate with mechanics or service providers to ensure timely vehicle servicing.Keep track of vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and service history.Ensure vehicles comply with safety standards, regulations, and environmental laws.Budgeting and Cost Control:Develop and manage the fleet maintenance budget, ensuring costs are controlled.Negotiate contracts for vehicle purchases, leases, and maintenance services.Monitor fuel usage, and maintenance expenses, and implement cost-saving measures.Fleet Optimization:Optimize fleet size and vehicle usage to improve efficiency.Track and analyze data to maximize vehicle uptime and reduce downtime.Plan and implement vehicle replacements based on age, mileage, and maintenance history.Compliance and Safety:Ensure all vehicles are registered and insured according to company policies and government regulations.Stay updated on legal and safety standards related to fleet management.Ensure all drivers follow safety procedures and maintain valid driver licenses.Ensure regular safety training for drivers.Driver Management:Hire, train, and evaluate drivers, ensuring they follow safe driving practices.Monitor driver performance, including route planning, driving behavior, and customer service.Address and resolve any driver-related issues or complaints.Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate records of fleet vehicles, maintenance, repairs, and usage.Prepare reports on fleet performance, maintenance schedules, and budget adherence.Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
