What you will be doing This position would be part of CORE product development team to work on: Design, document, and review application architecture Write and review application framework code and design patterns Guide application security and adherence to FIS policy Advise on techniques for code reusability and organization Suggest JavaScript frameworks and extensions to meet requirements Design for automated testing Responsible for all aspects of software interface design including audience and task analysis, market analysis, scenario building, storyboarding, prototyping, and defining interface specifications, guidelines, and standards. Translate research findings and user requirements into effective designs. Engage subject matter experts to define design parameters and constraints. Collaborate with product teams to ensure user-centered design process is incorporated into FIS development lifecycle. Willingness to do team management if needed. Collaborate between multiple geographies and teams. Suggest technical solutions for complex technical & domain problems. Represent the team on global forums. What you bring: Knowledge / Experience 15+ years of hands-on experience on Java with knowledge of Garbage Collector, JMS, Event Based programming, Collections, Java Streams, Dependency Injection Framework (Google juice). Experience on Kafka or other message bus and profiling of Java applications Angular JS experience is nice to have Working knowledge on application Servers (Tomcat) Strong experience in REST Web Services Good knowledge in Transaction Management – ACID properties Working knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins, Docker is required. Experience working in Unix/Linux environment and proven knowledge of scripting languages Working experience in Micro-Services will be added advantage Experience in No-SQL database would be added advantage (Preferably CouchBase / Mongo DB) Sound knowledge of Design Patterns Good grasp on system architecture & design. NoSQL experience is nice to have. Understanding of responsive web design best practises Strong problem-solving, analytical and information organization capabilities Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand complex concepts and communicate these simply to technical and non-technical audiences Skills Familiar with scripting languages likes Groovy / Python. Knowledge of Kafka Agile – SCRUM or XP or TDD methodology preferred.
