Job Description

Position Overview: The Group CEO will be the driving force behind the strategic direction and growth of the company. As the leader of a diversified automotive technology group, the CEO will be responsible for steering the company through a significant transformation, with a clear focus on growth, product evolution, operational excellence, and building strong external relationships. The CEO will report directly to the promoter and will oversee all aspects of the organization, from market strategy to product innovation, financial management, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Set the Vision & Strategy : Collaborate with the promoter to establish and communicate the vision and long-term strategy of Company, aligning the company's business objectives with industry trends. Market Growth : Lead the growth agenda to scale the company from INR 1000 Crores to INR 5000 Crores in revenue over the next five years, identifying key growth levers across business segments. Transformational Leadership : Oversee the company’s transition from internal combustion engine (ICE) technologies to electric vehicles (EV), hybrid, and flexi-fuel solutions, ensuring the company is positioned as a leader in the future of mobility. Financial Management & Profitability: Profitability Oversight : Maintain a bottom line of over 25% EBITDA, ensuring that financial metrics are met and optimized through effective cost management and revenue growth strategies. Operational Efficiency : Implement financial processes and business practices to close any operational gaps, enhancing productivity, reducing inefficiencies, and maximizing profitability across all units. Product Development & Technology Focus: Product Transition : Guide the company through its transformation to new-age automotive technologies, including electric vehicles, hybrid, and flex-fuel solutions, while ensuring product excellence and market competitiveness. Innovation and R&D : Drive investments in research and development for next-generation technologies, particularly electric drivetrains, battery systems, and vehicle software, ensuring the company is at the cutting edge of innovation. Business Development & Key Relationships: OEM Partnerships : Cultivate and manage relationships with key Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai-KIA, and other critical industry players, reducing dependency on Mahindra and securing new business opportunities. Joint Ventures & Alliances : Lead the establishment, negotiation, and management of joint ventures, ensuring alignment with business objectives, strategic growth, and shared goals. Customer-Centric Approach : Strengthen customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction to enhance brand loyalty and market share. Organizational Development: Build & Lead Teams : Ensure that Company has the right leadership and talent in place to execute its growth strategy, focusing on hiring, developing, and retaining top-tier talent across all functions. Operational Excellence : Oversee the design and implementation of business processes that enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and reduce redundancy, while maintaining high standards of product and service quality. Culture & Values : Foster a corporate culture rooted in innovation, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. Promote gender diversity and sustainable business practices in alignment with global trends and customer expectations. Sustainability & Digital Transformation: Sustainability Focus : Integrate sustainability into every aspect of the business, from product development to operations. Ensure that the company’s efforts are aligned with global sustainability goals, reducing its environmental footprint and capitalizing on the green mobility revolution. Digitization & AI : Champion the adoption of AI, data analytics, and digital tools that improve operational efficiency, customer engagement, and product development, preparing the company for the future of mobility. Governance and Stakeholder Management: Board Relations : Report to the Board of Directors and maintain transparent communication regarding company performance, strategy, and risk management. Risk Management : Identify and mitigate key business risks, including technological disruptions, supply chain vulnerabilities, and market volatility. Required Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience as a CEO or in an executive leadership role within the automotive sector, ideally in companies that require strong, hands-on management. Track record of success in driving both organic and inorganic growth through market strategies, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. Technical Expertise: Solid technical knowledge of electric vehicles (EV), hybrid technologies, and flex-fuel solutions, with expertise in leading the development of electric drivetrains, battery technologies, and vehicle software platforms. Familiarity with the evolving landscape of the automotive industry, including key trends like AI, automation, electrification, and digitization. Business Acumen: Exceptional strategic thinking and business development skills, with the ability to envision long-term goals and devise actionable plans for growth and profitability. Experience in financial management with a strong understanding of EBITDA, P&L management, cost control, and scalability. Leadership & Culture Building: Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams, drive a culture of accountability and high performance, and build a diverse and inclusive workforce. Strong leadership skills in managing large organizations through periods of transformation and change. Industry Relationships: Extensive network within the automotive industry, with strong relationships with OEMs such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Hyundai-KIA, and others. Experience in negotiating and managing joint ventures, partnerships, and collaborations within the automotive sector. Communication & Negotiation Skills: Fluent in engaging with external stakeholders, investors, regulatory bodies, and senior executives, particularly in high-stakes negotiations and strategic decision-making. Ability to communicate a compelling vision and strategy both internally and externally, with clarity and conviction. Passion for Innovation and Sustainability: A passion for advancing sustainable technologies and promoting environmentally responsible practices within the automotive industry. Interest in driving forward-thinking initiatives related to AI, digitization, and societal trends, particularly in gender and diversity issues. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree (MBA, Engineering, or similar). Experience in scaling businesses, particularly within emerging markets. Familiarity with global automotive trends, government regulations, and environmental sustainability initiatives. Position Logistics: Location : Corporate headquarters (flexible based on business needs). Travel Requirements : Occasional domestic and international travel as required.
