Job Description

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components. Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. The Tata Group operates in more than 100 countries across six continents, with the mission 'To improve the quality of life of the communities we serve globally, through long term stakeholder value creation based on leadership with Trust.’ Responsibilities Vendor Negotiation Identification of Service Providers based on Vendor Assessment Collecting Market feedback on Vendor Performance Shortlist Vendor based on rate and deliverables (Turn Around time, Market Performance, and Contract Terms) Negotiate with forwarder for outbound shipments Plan and ensure the achievement of cost reduction targets as per OKR through Vendor Negotiation, Alternate Vendor Development, " Managing Lead Time Collect information from Opex and Capex Procurement teams on shipment plan (including quantity, vendor location and date of lot readiness Plan for the shipment of lot as per quantity and delivery timelines (schedule) Decide on mode of shipment (air/sea) using parameters of Need-by date and Cost Track outbound shipment status and share delivery update report with the PMO and customer For NPI Outbound shipments, ensure adherence to customer's confidentiality and security parameters 1. Implementation of proper Tracking mechanism for I/B and O/B shipments 2. Identify critical path & blockers to meet transit lead time 3. Establishing Authorized Logistics Service provider for NPI part movement" Trade Compliance (Documentation) Create and update the list of documentations required by Govt, Client and Internal teams Ensure the Submission of relevant documents to the Finance team on time for IDPMS Compliance and on time payment to foreign vendors Ensure the Submission of relevant documents to the Finance team on time for EDPMS Compliance and on time payment receipt from overseas customer Ensure maintenance of proper records for import and export shipments Ensure timely execution of Triple Duty bond with Customs by submitting necessary documents such as Insurance Papers and other supporting documents MOOWR (Manufacture and Other Operations in Customs Warehouse) compliance: Ensure the timely submission of MOOWR Compliance report to Customs" People Management & Training Ensure effective team structure and manpower requirement for Stores& Logistics Identify skill gaps and ensure relevant training is provided for the team members (e.g. Six sigma, DG Compliance, Documentation, Inventory Mgt etc.) Ensure adherence to Safety SOP at all times by team members" Daily Work Management Create the overall DWM checklist and identify individual DWM tasks Track and monitor DWM status on a weekly basis" Essential Attributes Good knowledge in Inbound and Outbound Logistics / setting up of Green Field projects in the manufacturing industry Experienced in managing DG and Non-DG shipments, Flash mode and by Hand International shipments, LCL and FCL shipments; possess knowledge in clearing shipments under FTA benefits, Self-sealing permission, AEO certification, Manufacturing Bonded warehouse compliance (MOOWR) Expertise in maintaining management level relationship with Vendors, Customers, Transporters, Shipping Lines & Freight Forwarders Good Knowledge in Customs clearance and Trade Compliance Cost Estimation, Budgeting & Optimization of Logistics cost Knowledge of Logistics, Supply Chain & DG cargo handling Training - Preferred Exposure in managing stores for EMS company, +100K Sq ft, +20 members Qualifications "Bachelor of Commerce / BE (Mandatory) PGDM/MBA in SCM&logistics management or International Trade (Preferred)" Export and import documentation (Indian Institute of Material Management / CII) Experience Level15+years of experienceLocationVemegal, Kolar Dist.
