Find out more by clicking: Purpose of the role: The positionplays a crucial role in driving business opportunities within the defence sector by actively liaising with business partners, customers, and internal stakeholders. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of tendering, proposal preparation, and project coordination to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. This position demands a proactive and strategic approach to business development, ensuring that cost-effective and competitive proposals are submitted within the required timelines while maintaining compliance with industry and customer specifications. Responsibilities: Identifying and pursuing prospective opportunities, tenders, and collaborations in the defence sector. Preparing cost estimations and customized proposals tailored to specific tender requirements. Understanding the technical scope of projects and engaging with suitable vendors and subcontractors. Ensuring timely follow-ups with sub-vendors for proposals and completion of subcontracted activities. Engaging with customers through visits and discussions to facilitate project execution and address requirements. Coordinating with internal departments, including Design, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Services, Production, and Assembly, to ensure the successful completion of projects. Customer interaction, study of project tender documents and drawings to understand the technical requirement with all clarity. Articulate requirement of customer to get the inputs from various stakeholders. Preparation of price reasonability / justification by applying various applicable factors. Management of costing and proposals for easy traceability. Skill Requirements: Highly organized and comfortable working to strict deadlines. Creative thinker and ability to take up a variety of tasks. Strong written and spoken English and presentation skills. Strong work ethic, high energy level, motivation and enthusiasm Excellent technical knowledge in mechanical engineering and ability to read & understand drawings. Good understanding of production processes and quality requirements. Proven ability to manage costing & proposals in a dynamic environment. Competent with MS-Office. SAP operation acquaintance is a must. Ability to understand and communicate in Hindi, preferable. Qualification / Profile BE / B.Tech in Mechanical. Minimum 8 to 10 years in a suitable capital goods industry. Costing and proposals for Engineered-To-Order goods is added advantage.
