Position Overview: The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for shaping and executing our technology vision and architecture to drive innovation and scalability. This role requires an experienced technology leader who can develop and coach high-performing teams, lead cloud-based SaaS transformations, and architect modern, AI-enabled software solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in our existing stack while also bringing knowledge of modern, scalable technologies to help us evolve our platform. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is required, as our organization is structured around high-velocity, iterative development cycles. Has extensive hands-on experience with MVC (C#), SQL Server (T-SQL), and ReactJS—not just leadership but direct expertise. Has successfully modernized legacy systems to microservices, API-first, and AI-powered architectures while maintaining business continuity. Is well-versed in Azure, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices, ensuring a scalable, cloud-native evolution. Can bridge the gap between current technologies and future advancements without disrupting product reliability and performance. Has a track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams while working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Has deep experience in SaaS product development, including multi-tenant architecture, data security, and real-time data processing. Preferably has experience in the foodtech or foodservice industry (not require but nice to have), understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in this space. We need a technical visionary who understands both where we are today and where we need to go—someone who can lead our current tech stack while driving its transformation. Let’s refine our approach to target candidates who bring both legacy expertise and modernization capabilities Key Responsibilities: Technology Strategy & Architecture Define and execute a scalable technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and product innovation. Lead AI-assisted coding and test automation initiatives to increase development efficiency and product reliability. Architect and drive cloud-based modernization, enabling a seamless transition to a high-performance, scalable platform. Oversee technology migration planning, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to modern architectures. Ensure the adoption of best-in-class security, DevOps, and CI/CD practices to support agile development and cloud-based operations. Leadership & Team Development Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering and DevOps team, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning. Champion Agile methodologies, ensuring efficient Scrum execution and alignment with product and business needs. Cultivate a culture of collaboration and cross-functional alignment with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams. Technology & Product Innovation Lead the rapid innovation and modernization of our technology stack, introducing modern tools and frameworks while ensuring continuity with existing technologies. Drive adoption of AI-powered development and automation tools to increase engineering productivity. Ensure seamless integration between frontend, backend, and middleware components, optimizing system performance and scalability. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the SaaS landscape Technology Stack & Cloud Expertise The ideal candidate should have experience with our core technology stack and an understanding of modern software tools that can drive innovation. Current Tech Stack: Frontend: JavaScript (ES6) – Core language for ReactJS-based UI State Management: Redux HTML5, CSS3 – UI styling and structure Backend: ASP .Net MVC (C#) – Main backend logic and API development SQL (T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2019) – Database queries and stored procedures Middleware & Integration: WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) – Service-oriented architecture ServiceStack – API layer in microservices Scripting & Configuration: PowerShell – Deployment automation in Azure/Kubernetes Emerging Technologies & Focus Areas: AI-assisted coding and test automation Cloud-native and serverless architectures Advanced DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes orchestration Microservices modernization and API-first architecture Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a technology leadership role (CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent). Proven experience leading cloud-based SaaS transformations, including architecture modernization and AI-driven innovation. Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with a track record of coaching and developing teams. Strong hands-on experience with ASP .Net MVC (C#), SQL, JavaScript (ReactJS), Azure/Kubernetes, and API development. Experience with AI/ML applications in software development is a strong plus. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, able to balance technology innovation with practical execution. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
