Responsibilities: Teaching & Curriculum Development: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in IBDP Biology (SL & HL) , ensuring alignment with IB standards and inquiry-based learning approaches. Assessment & Student Support: Design and implement formative and summative assessments, provide detailed feedback, and guide students through their Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs) in Biology. Laboratory Work & Experimentation: Supervise and facilitate hands-on laboratory investigations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work with other IB faculty members to integrate TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) into the Biology curriculum. Student Mentorship: Provide academic and pastoral support, preparing students for university applications and future careers in science. IB Documentation & Compliance: Maintain IB-required documentation, including unit planners, lesson plans, and student progress reports. Professional Development: Stay updated with IB curriculum changes, attend IB workshops, and continuously enhance subject knowledge and pedagogical skills. Qualifications & Experience: Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field . Minimum 3-5 years of experience teaching IBDP Biology (SL & HL) in an IB school. Strong understanding of IB pedagogy, assessments, and curriculum frameworks . Experience in guiding students through IB Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs) . Familiarity with modern laboratory equipment, technology integration in teaching, and data analysis tools .
