Roles and Responsibilities: Manufacturing Operations Develop and implement production plans based on sales orders. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly production schedules aligned with sales projections. Achieve production targets by optimizing line capacity, manpower, material availability, and shipment schedules. Oversee product development, including requirement analysis, process design, and testing. Monitor equipment parameters, implement corrective and preventive actions , and ensure timely production within cost constraints. Drive cost-effective production measures to meet budget targets. Ensure machinery maintenance and readiness for seamless operations. Plant Operations Lead shop floor activities while maintaining operational manuals and work instructions. Implement preventive and breakdown maintenance for critical machinery to maximize uptime. Identify operational inefficiencies and drive process improvements. Enforce health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Supervise and motivate production teams for optimal performance. Participate in Sales & Operations (S&OP) meetings to align production targets. Collect and analyze production data to improve efficiency and productivity. Monitor raw material procurement and availability to align with production demands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production plans remain on track. Assess and enhance team performance through training and development initiatives. Quality Control Maintain quality standards for work-in-progress and finished goods using LEAN, 5S, PDCA, JIT , and other methodologies. Oversee incoming quality inspections and supplier development to ensure compliance with product requirements. Manage and coordinate agency audits such as ISO and BIS , including documentation and compliance testing. Ensure systematic implementation of ISO 9001 quality standards. Supervise product testing and inspections to identify and implement necessary modifications. Lead the certification process for electronic and IT products under BIS regulations. New Product Introduction (NPI) Lead the NPI process from concept to full-scale production, ensuring seamless integration into existing manufacturing lines. Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to establish manufacturability and scalability. Develop and execute pilot production runs , analyze results, and implement improvements before mass production. Ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) principles are followed to optimize production efficiency and cost. Define and implement process validation , first article inspection, and control plans for new products. Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure operator training before launching new products. Monitor and analyze initial production yields , identifying and resolving issues to stabilize mass production. Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure raw material readiness for NPI projects. Desired Candidate Profile Experience in Manufacturing & Operations Management with a strong background in production planning, quality control, and process improvement. Hands-on experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and scaling production from pilot runs to full-scale manufacturing. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies (5S, PDCA, JIT, Kaizen, etc.). Strong understanding of ISO 9001, BIS, and other regulatory compliance requirements for manufacturing. Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, drive performance, and implement cost-effective solutions. Experience in data-driven decision-making , production analytics, and KPI tracking for efficiency improvements. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, working with R&D, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams. Technical proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and ERP systems for production planning and inventory management. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to operational challenges. Ability to work under tight deadlines , manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing production demands. Educational Qualification: Essential: B.E.
