Job Description

Position Overview Are you an experienced procurement professional with a keen eye for cost efficiency, quality assurance, and vendor management? We are looking for a Deputy Manager - Procurement to oversee procurement operations, ensure compliance with policies, and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. This role involves vendor evaluation, process optimization, risk management, and supporting automation efforts for procurement operations across the organization. Key Responsibilities Process procurement requests efficiently while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Drive cost-effective procurement while maintaining high-quality standards for goods and services. Identify and onboard PAN-India service providers based on organizational needs. Maintain vendor databases, including empanelment, rating, and periodic reviews. Provide monthly procurement status reports to department heads. Identify and implement automation solutions for procurement processes. Regularly review procurement policies and propose necessary changes. Conduct contract vetting and ensure legal compliance for consultancy agreements. Collaborate with vendors for timely submission of invoices and payments. Conduct market research to optimize procurement strategies and mitigate risks. Qualifications & Experience Education: Graduate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Experience: A Minimum of years in procurement operations. Skills: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, vendor management, and risk assessment. Preferred: Experience in automation and procurement policy development. Core Competencies Strong negotiation and relationship management skills. Ability to assess and manage procurement risks effectively. Knowledge of value-for-money principles in procurement decision-making. Excellent analytical, planning, and time management skills. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting. High integrity, adaptability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
