Job Description

Job purpose: To impart training to the students at DBM centres in Work readiness skills, also called soft skills such that they are able to effectively communicate and can adapt and perform in different work settings or career fields. To impart training to the students at DBM centres in specific domains such that they obtain the skills required by potential employers.To impart training in Basic computer Skills such as MS office etc.Plan, develop and update course curriculum and content, keeping the skill requirements and students’ level of learning in mind.Qualifications: Min Bachelor’s Degree (BA in English, BSW/MSW)Experience: At least 2 years of experience in training with 1 year of experience in imparting soft skills or Job readiness. Experience of teaching (children or adults). Experience in curriculum development/training/candidates with prior experience in social sector preferredTravel: Travel to Other Centers / HO as per requirementType of Employment: Full time       Job Description:Training: Deliver the course content for imparting basic communication skills in English and learning basic work etiquettes as per the session schedule.Deliver the course content for the specific skill/ subject as per the schedule and target.Use latest technologies (ppt, video, models, whiteboard, physical world etc.) and assist students in classroom activities and discussions for efficient delivery of course to students.Organize and/or conduct job readiness sessions on a regular basisUse appropriate technology for content delivery.Develop assignments, tests, mock exams, practical along with grading systems in both online/offline mode of teaching. Promote two-way communication with students.Provide students opportunities to learn and solve real world problems using case studies, situations, etc, and test their progress. Promote and encourage students to speak in English Focus on written and spoken communication skills including email etiquettes Ensure consistent level of performance by students. Provide students with domain appropriate inputs and training for facing interviews for placements and inspiring self-confidence.Coordinate with the placement manager to facilitate student’s placements.Curriculum development and Content Quality:Develop course content and review / update the same at least annually in line with market requirements / technical changes. Reporting:Capture all relevant data on a timely basis including attendance records of students. Others:Track student progress during the period of the course. Provide support to ex-students on specific requirements purely on a need basis. Assist the mobiliser in community meetings or any other group meetings in clarifying doubts related to course for enrolments.Along with Centre Manager conduct the orientation of Mobiliser/ Social worker and placement coordinator on course content for complete clarity.Assist Centre Manager in various activities.Competencies & Skills Must possess Basic IT skills, Internet and knowledge of EnglishAbility to mentor students and possess training skills.Efficient communication skills and the ability to reach out to the students and parents.Ability to explain the concept in multiple languages - English & at least one other language. Capable of explaining course content in the simplest form.Ability to work in a team and accept constructive feedback from superiors. Positive attitude to learn and adopt new things at work.Key Result Areas:Timely completion of Training batchesAchieve desired result in student assessments Have a grading of at least 3 on 5 based on student feedback surveys at the end of each batch.Percentage drop-out attributable to trainer / course should be below specified threshold. Review of curriculum as per plan.Salary Range: Between Rupees 3,00,000/- to 3,60,000/- per annum.
