This role will focus on recruiting high-quality teaching (Professors & Deans) and non-teaching staff for our university. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the academic landscape, strong relationships with educational institutions, and a passion for finding the right talent to support our university's mission. The recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring the hiring of skilled professionals who align with the institution's values and contribute to the overall growth and success of the university.Key Responsibilities:Faculty Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for academic positions across various disciplines, including assistant professors, professors, sr. professors, HOD, lecturers, and other teaching staff.Non-Teaching Staff Recruitment: Recruit for non-teaching positions such as administrative staff, technical support, librarians, counselors, including bulk hiring across various functions and other essential university support roles.Job Description Creation & Advertising: Collaborate with department heads and university leadership to create clear and accurate job descriptions. Post job openings on relevant job boards, university websites, and professional networks.Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods such as online job portals, social media, academic conferences, and talent pools to identify potential candidates for open positions.Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the education and EdTech sectors.Manage recruitment metrics, ensuring timely and cost-effective hiring while maintaining a positive candidate experience.Stay updated on UGC guidelines, industry trends, competitor hiring strategies, and best practices in recruitment.Qualifications & Skills:5+ years of recruitment experience, with a strong focus on recruiting faculty, teaching, and non-teaching staff for universities or educational institutions.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).Strong understanding of the academic environment, including the unique needs and challenges of hiring faculty and academic staff.Managing talent acquisition for education industry is a must.Proven track record of building teams from scratch and scaling recruitment processes in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Hands-on experience in managing and mentoring a team of recruiters.Emeritus provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.In press:harvard business school: Edtech unicorn Emeritus story now a Harvard Business School case study - The Economic Times ()
