Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven GM – Business Development (International) to lead and expand our footprint in global markets, including the U.S., Europe, and other key international regions. This role will focus on winning high-value contracts, forging strategic partnerships with global OEMs, and driving business growth. Position: General Manager – Business Development (International) Experience: 15–20 years (Minimum 10 years in international business development) Qualification: Essential: B.E. in Electronics / Electrical Engineering Preferred: MBA Exception: Candidates with relevant experience in engineering disciplines Role Overview and Responsibilities: ✅ International Business Growth: Win orders and develop new business opportunities with global markets, including engagements with overseas OEMs. ✅ Strategic Partnerships: Build and strengthen relationships with international OEMs to position Samtel as a Tier 1 supplier for key systems. ✅ Techno-Commercial Leadership: Lead bidding, tendering, and negotiations, ensuring competitive and profitable deals. ✅ Customer Engagement: Interface with sourcing & design teams of global customers to identify new opportunities. ✅ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal design & engineering teams to align product development with customer needs. ✅ Market Intelligence & Competition Analysis: Gather and analyze industry trends, competitor insights, and global procurement processes to refine business strategies. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven expertise in international business development, with a strong network across global OEMs, government agencies, and international organizations. Deep understanding of international procurement, tendering processes, and government liaison. Strong technical acumen to engage in discussions on electronics, avionics, and advanced technology solutions. Extensive experience in institutional sales, particularly with global OEMs. Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to international armed forces. Key Attributes for Success:
