Job Summary As a Senior Marine Draughtsman , you will be responsible for creating CAD drawings and arrangement drawings for the vessels. Collaborating closely with naval architects, structural engineers, and project teams, your expertise will contribute to the successful design, construction, and maintenance of marine and offshore projects. You will also support junior draughtsmen, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Develop CAD drawings, General arrangement Plans, sea-fastening drawing, stowage plans, material take-offs, load-in, and load-out plans. Convert 2D drawings into 3D CAD drawings Conduct thorough self-checks and oversee the checking process of the team to ensure drawing outputs align with project requirements and technical specifications. Establish and uphold company drawing standards, particularly for stowage and sea-fastening drawings, as well as lashing arrangements. Work closely with naval architects, structural engineers, and Supercargoes to ensure drawings are align with project requirements and deadlines. Provide technical assistance and mentorship to junior draftsman, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth. Address technical challenges and provide solutions during the design and drafting process. Required Skills and Qualification Diploma/ Degree in Engineering discipline Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in ship structures & Outfit design. Proficient understanding of ship and offshore terminology, structures, and operations. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/ 3D, MS Office . Proficiency in additional drafting software such as Rhino Strong spatial awareness with the ability to conceptualize in three dimensions. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities within the project team as necessary.
