The Geo Head - Microfinance oversees all branches' business performance, operational efficiency, and strategic development within a designated geography. This role includes leadership, business growth, financial oversight, and ensuring that all teams deliver quality microfinance services to underserved communities. The Geo Head will be expected to collaborate with senior leadership, drive key initiatives, and support organizational objectives. Geography Head - Microfinance - Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: - Lead and manage a Geography consisting of multiple clusters, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. - Develop and implement strategic plans to improve outreach, loan portfolio growth, financial performance, and client satisfaction within the geo. - Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth, innovation, and sustainability initiatives. 2. Operational Management: - Oversee the operations of all branches within the geo, ensuring efficiency and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures. - Monitor the performance of cluster managers, ensuring that they achieve their operational, financial, and client outreach targets. - Ensure smooth coordination between branches and head office, facilitating the implementation of corporate strategies and policies. 3. Business Development & Growth: - Identify new market opportunities for growth, ensuring that the geo expands its reach to underserved communities and clients. - Develop and manage strategies to improve client acquisition, retention, and satisfaction, focusing on expanding the microfinance portfolio. - Foster partnerships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote the organization’s microfinance services. 4. Financial Management & Reporting: - Ensure the financial sustainability of all branches within the geo by managing budgets, controlling costs, and optimizing resource allocation. - Monitor financial performance metrics such as portfolio quality, loan disbursement, repayment rates, and profitability. - Prepare and present comprehensive financial and operational reports to senior management, highlighting geo-wide performance and areas for improvement. 5. Risk & Compliance Management: - Ensure that all branches in the geo comply with internal risk management policies, credit guidelines, and regulatory requirements. - Work closely with risk management teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the geo’s operations. - Conduct regular audits and reviews of branch operations to ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations. 6. Team Leadership & Development: - Lead, coach, and mentor cluster managers and their teams, ensuring high levels of performance and employee engagement across the geo. - Develop talent pipelines by identifying and nurturing high-potential employees for future leadership roles. - Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the geo. 7.
