Manager-Instrumentation Role Purpose : Ensure instrumentation maintenance activities are performed in a safe, professional manner, in accordance with industry standards, environmental restrictions, original equipment manufacturers’ recommendations and DCP Standard Operating Procedures. Role Reports to : Head Engineering Location : Dahej Qualification : Diploma In Instrumentation & Control /B.E /B.Tech Instrumentation and control Years of experience : 7 to 12 years Focus Area:  To ensure statutory compliances of weighing balances, flow meters & Calibration master instruments.  To ensure that measurement loops for identified critical parameters in plant are calibrated against certified master calibrators, calibration traceable to international standards, in time as per planned calibration schedule) to maintain proper quality records and history cards for Instruments of all the plants.  To conceptualize Instrumentation as per the process requirement for any new modification, expansion & new project at site.  Analysis of maintenance history ,cost incurred, Budget monitoring & breakdown to recommend & implement suitable activities to reduce cost & improve plant performance .Proper documentation for preventive & breakdown maintenance ,purchase requisitions, Budget planning etc.  To ensure compliance to ISO 9000 / 2004 & EMS 14001 Standards in all activities related to Instrumentation on site. Ensure documentation & implementation of RC code 5,7 and 10 requirements in Engineering department. Support for RC code 0 implementation in Engineering function.  Implementation of ideas related to all plants suggested in Innovation & Creativity forum.  To carry out all Automation & Instrumentation activities as per Company safety guideline.  To represent the Site for Automation Security function.  To introduce new instrumentation controls for safe operations.  To head the Instrument department for the site operation.  To strive for energy conservation measures.  To motivate & guide own Instrument staff & contract employees  To ensure & carry out preventive & breakdown maintenance of Instruments in time, to minimize downtime of equipment’s  To prepare the opex budget for instrument function for whole site and ensure the expenditure within the limit.  Responsible for maintaining Instruments like PLC system , SCADA system , EPSC system & various field Instruments  Activity of the section through optimum utilization of resources for providing the smooth and efficient running of equipment's to achieve the production targets.  To Ensure maximum availability of equipment's through proactive planning and maintenance to achieve the production target.  To identify and locate the Problem.  Timely making of PR and follow up with Purchase for obtaining spares in time.  To Plan and execute the job with in time span and with quality and safety standards.  Minimizing downtime of equipment's.  Coordination with other departments for maintenance activities to complete in stipulated time.  Identify the Problems of job in which other department help is required.  Inform the concern department about the problem To coordinate with them and get the jobs done .  Identify the spares required for machines and to raise necessary PR for smooth functioning.  Identify the parts of machines  Getting the specification of machine parts  Get approval for List of spares required.  Make the PR of the spare parts.  To Train the Manpower technically to get the jobs done.  Going to the specific location and explaining the procedure of maintenance job and also providing technical knowledge about job and machine to subordinate to get the job done.  To Maintain Equipment data, drawing and back up.
