Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and overseeing the financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, be familiar with the Indian tax system, and have experience managing financial data for small or medium-sized businesses. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records of all company transactions, including income, expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Reconcile bank statements and balance sheets on a regular basis. Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards. Taxation: Prepare and file GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliance related to tax. Ensure timely and accurate payment of all taxes (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) and file all tax returns within the required deadlines. Assist with audits and provide necessary documents and information for tax filings. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the payment processing for vendors, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and accurately. Track customer payments and follow up on overdue accounts. Manage accounts receivable, ensuring invoices are generated correctly and payments are collected in a timely manner. Payroll Processing: Assist in the preparation of payroll and ensure all salaries, wages, and bonuses are paid on time. Maintain accurate records of employee deductions, leave balances, and other payroll-related activities. Financial Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Assist in budget preparation and monitor company expenses against the budget. Provide financial analysis and advice to the management team. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, taxation laws, and company policies. Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws, accounting regulations, and financial best practices. Miscellaneous: Support the CA. Assist with the implementation of new accounting software or systems. Assist in managing financial records related to company assets and liabilities. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce () or Accounting (preferred). Experience: 2-5 years of experience as an accountant, preferably in a small to medium-sized business or service industry. Experience in the astrology, wellness, or spiritual sector is a plus but not required. Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices in India, including GST, TDS, and income tax regulations. Proficient in accounting software Tally and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Good communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and the internal team. Personal Attributes: Trustworthy, reliable, and ethical in handling sensitive financial data. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
