What the role is: You will be based in Singapore Tourism Board’s (STB) Mumbai office, and be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive engagement and training strategies for online and offline travel agents. You will establish successful and impactful partnerships with the leisure travel trade, including both B2B and B2C players across the mass and premium spaces, across west and south India. Additionally, you will oversee strategic collaborations with Singapore-based aviation carriers to maximise marketing returns and increase Indian visitor traffic to Singapore. You will also manage the Mumbai office's administrative workstreams. What you will be working on: Build and foster strategic relationships with B2B and B2C leisure travel trade partners in west and south India, with a focus on driving greater market penetration. Lead the creation of high-impact campaigns with travel trade and airline partners, positioning Singapore as a top leisure destination for Indian travellers. Partner Singapore aviation carrier and airport partners, in tripartite collaboration, to design joint marketing initiatives aimed at increasing Indian visitor traffic, ensuring a measurable impact on travel numbers. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and partnership strategies, using insights to refine approaches for optimal results. Design and implement tailored engagement and training programs for online and offline travel agents, including premium travel agents, ensuring they are well-equipped to promote Singapore’s tourism products. Regularly assess market conditions and identify emerging trends, translating these insights into actionable strategies to enhance engagement with travel trade and aviation partners Oversee and execute the admin workstreams for the Mumbai office, including but not limited to asset and inventory management, logistics coordination, and management of office assistant and associated staff. Deliver on any other assigned workstreams that may arise from time to time, based on operational and business needs. What we are looking for: Possesses strong knowledge and networks of the travel distribution business in west and south India, particularly in the B2B, B2C, OTA and Premium leisure segments, with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in travel trade, aviation, business development, and stakeholder management Possesses deep understanding of consumer trends, particularly in the travel & hospitality and lifestyle sectors Strong grasp of strategic thinking and critical analysis Good business acumen and business development competency Effective project management and organizational skills Ability to analyse market trends and adjust strategies to meet evolving industry demands Ability to multitask with both trade-facing work and office admin responsibilities with speed, accuracy, and confidence Must be able to conduct out-of-city travel for work whenever required, including overseas travel to Singapore. Good to have: Experience in managing partnerships with aviation carriers, travel trade in India Familiarity with digital marketing and India’s online consumer platform Tourism board, tourism board representation, or hospitality background Accreditation in relevant fields, e.g. marketing, business development, negotiation, etc.
