For a US Headquartered Energy Services Company with operations in Africa and europe we are Seeking Smart Remote DevOps engineer preferably based in New Delhi. Relevant experince 4 years Plus and Target Salary 40 to 50 Lacs What Kind of Person is Needed for This Role? We require a highly skilled, self-motivated, and detail-oriented DevOps professional who thrives in a cloud-based infrastructure and automation-heavy environment. Below are the key qualities needed for success in this role: Technical Expertise: ✅ Cloud Experience (4+ years): Strong experience in GCP and AWS —deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructures. ✅ Linux Proficiency: Must be comfortable with command-line tools like bash, SSH, vim, screen, etc. ✅ Scripting & Automation: Needs hands-on experience with Python for automating repetitive tasks. ✅ Source Code & Configuration Management: Familiarity with GitHub, Bitbucket , and using version control for digital assets. ✅ Domain & SSL Management: Handling DNS records, domain management, SSL certificates. ✅ Infrastructure as Code & Auto-scaling: Experience in automating deployments, configuring auto-scaling , and ensuring cloud infrastructure runs efficiently. ✅ Security Best Practices: Understanding of securing API tokens, service passwords , and performing infrastructure security audits. ✅ Performance & Monitoring: Exposure to tools like Elastic APM , logging in GCP/GKE/Docker , and database optimization (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB ). Soft Skills & Work Ethic: ✔️ Excellent Communication: Must be able to collaborate with remote teams across different time zones. ✔️ Self-Starter & Proactive: Ability to work independently and document work clearly. ✔️ Team Player: Supports others when needed, participates in agile development processes. ✔️ Problem-Solving Mindset: Can diagnose and resolve performance or security issues quickly. ✔️ Highly Organized & Punctual: Manages tasks effectively and meets deadlines. Additional Aspects to Consider: Work Schedule: Remote work but must align with US/Europe/Africa time zones. Off-Hours Support: Needs to provide occasional production support on a rotating basis with other developers.
