And on this journey of growth, we are looking out for talented, passionate and experienced ‘Fashion Merchandiser’ to join our excellent team at Surat.  Job Responsibilities : Develop and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability while staying true to the company’s brand identity and target market. Collaborate closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure timely execution of product development and delivery schedules. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape, and utilize insights to inform product assortment and pricing strategies. Manage end-to-end merchandising processes, including sourcing raw materials, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers, and overseeing production quality control. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to quality standards and delivery timelines. Analyse sales performance and inventory levels regularly to optimize product mix and minimize excess stock, taking proactive measures to address any discrepancies. Stay updated on industry developments, trade shows, and fashion events to stay ahead of market trends and capitalize on new opportunities. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best pricing and delivery schedules. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Technology/ Fashion Designing/Merchandising or related field. Masters preferred. Experience : Proven experience as a Merchandiser in the Indian ethnic wear or fashion industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role. Strong understanding of textile manufacturing processes, fabric sourcing, and garment production techniques. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external suppliers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems. Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or other design software is a plus.
