As the head of this practice, you will be responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and delivery of data solutions to our clients and drive the growth of our Data services offerings.The ideal candidate should have a proven history of successfully architecting, designing & Implementing data management solutions including Integration, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes/Data Warehousing, Data quality, Data Governance and Analytics.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership and guidance to clients on data architecture, engineering, and analytics, helping them transform their data strategy into actionable solutions.Define and execute the strategic vision for the Data practice, aligning it with the company’s overall business goals.Spearhead complex data engagements, addressing architectural challenges and empowering delivery teams to meet agreed-upon standards within timelines and budgets.Lead the development of innovative data solutions across data engineering, Analytics and Governance that meet client needs and grow the data offerings of the organization.Lead and manage a high-performing team of data specialists. Provide mentorship, coaching, and career development for team members, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and collaboration.Lead pre-sales activities for Data services, including proposal development, presentations, and technical discussions. Work closely with the sales team to create compelling value propositions and business cases for data initiatives.Build and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and the value of data technologies. Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meeting client expectationsDrive awareness of the company’s capabilities in Data in various online and offline forums, including events and conferencesWork closely with other business units such as technology, recruitment, marketing, and operations to ensure alignment and synergies across the organization.Experience:Minimum 15 years of diverse experience in Data, Analytics and Governance.Candidates should have grown as data leaders working in various roles like data engineer, architect and lead throughout their career.At least 5 years’ experience as Architect or Technical Manager leading large-scale data modernization implementation in cloud technologies.Technical Skills:Deep understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional, data mesh, data vault, NoSQL).Expertise in data warehouse and modern Data Lakehouse architecture.Experience with ETL/ELT processing and integrations tools.Proficient in big data technologies, including but not limited to Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink, YARN.Proficient in cloud platforms, including but not limited Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS & GCP.Experience in implementing Business Intelligence, Analytics and Data governance tools.Strong understanding of new-age technologies such as cloud computing, Generative AI, and Machine learning.Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align data and AI solutions with business goals. Proven ability to manage client relationships, contribute to business development, and drive financial results.Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving ability, with the capacity to simplify complex technical concepts for a non-technical audience. Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.Others:Onsite experience working in the USA for 2-3 years is desirable.Work timings: High degree of overlap with US customers (3 PM to 12 AM IST).Narwal is an equal opportunity employer.
