This individual will collaborate closely with the business development, technical, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create clear, compelling, and compliant proposals that align with client requirements and organizational goals.Primary Responsibilities:Proposal Writing & Development:Develop, write, and edit proposal content, ensuring all submissions meet RFP requirements, deadlines, and state-specific guidelines.Collaborate with various departments to gather input, technical details, and supporting documents for proposals.Create clear, concise, and persuasive content that aligns with the client's objectives and the company's strengths.Coordinate and manage the proposal development process from start to finish, including timelines, review cycles, and final submission.Proposal Coordination:Work with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and program managers, to gather necessary information and ensure all compliance requirements are met.Organize and maintain proposal libraries, templates, and previous proposal documents.Maintain a proposal schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met, and the proposal is submitted on time.Proposal Compliance & Quality Control:Ensure adherence to state-specific regulations and policies for proposal submissions.Review and revise proposal drafts for accuracy, clarity, and overall quality.Ensure all proposal sections are compliant with solicitation requirements, formatting, and evaluation criteria.Collaboration & Communication:Communicate regularly with the proposal team, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategy and messaging.Work closely with the Proposal Manager and team to identify proposal themes and key differentiators.Continuous Improvement:Research and analyze trends in state procurement processes to stay updated on best practices and evolving regulations.Contribute to the development and refinement of proposal processes, templates, and materials.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.3+ years of experience in writing and developing state government proposals, particularly for public-sector clients.Knowledge of state procurement processes, RFPs, and proposal evaluation.Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and proposal management tools (e.g., Deltek, RFPIO).Preferred Qualifications:Experience with specific state government contracting processes.Knowledge of government compliance standards (e.g., FAR, DFARS, 508 Compliance).Familiarity with state-specific regulations or policies (depending on location).Proposal writing certification (e.g., APMP).Experience with proposal management software and collaboration tools.Key Competencies:Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in proposal documents and alignment with client requirements.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.Problem-Solving: Identifying and addressing potential challenges or gaps in proposals.Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to gather input and deliver high-quality proposals.Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.When You Join FedTec, You Are Joining a Family!
