Job Title: Assistant General Manager – Project Management Office (PMO)Location: MumbaiBudget: Up to 35 LakhsRole Overview:A leading luxury real estate developer is seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant General Manager for its Project Management Office. In this role, you will ensure the seamless execution and delivery of high-end real estate projects by overseeing multiple initiatives, aligning cross-functional teams, and maintaining strict adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. We are looking for a professional with exceptional critical thinking and debottlenecking skills—someone who can analyze complex processes, identify bottlenecks, preempt delays, and strategize solutions well in advance.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Management:Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles from inception to handover.Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, budget, timelines, and resource allocation.Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.Team Leadership:Lead and mentor cross-functional project teams to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.Foster a collaborative and accountable work environment.Stakeholder Management:Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.Quality Assurance:Maintain the highest quality standards throughout all project phases.Conduct regular site visits and audits to ensure compliance with design and safety regulations.Budgeting & Cost Control:Monitor and control project budgets to ensure adherence to financial constraints.Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or timelines.Process Optimization:Continuously assess and refine project management processes.Introduce and implement best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.Reporting & Documentation:Prepare detailed project status reports for senior management.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all project-related activities and decisions.Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s degree (MBA/PGDM) is preferred.10+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a focus on luxury real estate or high-end construction projects.Demonstrable experience in managing large-scale projects, ideally with exposure to roles in Big 4 firms transitioning into real estate, or within MD’s/Founder’s offices where strategic project reporting was key.Proven track record from reputed organizations such as Shapoorji or L&T, managing comprehensive project timelines—including design deliverables, contractor onboarding, material delivery, and execution.Experience in control tower roles within startups or similarly complex, process-driven environments is highly desirable.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Expertise in critical thinking, with the ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks in complex processes, preempt delays, and devise proactive solutions.Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
