Job Description

Skills required:Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating Confidentiality Agreements, Joint Venture Agreements, Consortium Agreements, and Service Provider Agreements.Strong understanding and application of FIDIC Contracts, NHAI Contracts, NPCIL Contracts, CPWD Contracts, and Bespoke Contract Terms.Extensive experience in contract management for infrastructure projects, preferably in hydropower and tunnel projects.Identifying, assessing, and monitoring project risks and opportunities in a timely manner.Drafting and managing contractual communications and project correspondences.Ensuring the timely issuance of contractual notices related to Extension of Time (EOT), variations, prolongation claims, and dispute resolution.Handling delay and disruption claims, including claims quantum analysis and prolongation cost assessments.Strong client negotiation skills, with experience in engaging with stakeholders for claim settlements, contract variations, and risk mitigation.Proficiency in dispute resolution mechanisms, including Dispute Adjudication Board (DAB), Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC), Conciliation, Mediation, and Amicable Settlement.Strong knowledge of the Indian Arbitration Act, 1996 (Amended 2015 & 2019) and the Indian Contract Act, 1872.Understanding taxation concepts in India, particularly in the context of lodging wage claims and addressing legislative changes affecting contracts.Expertise in project scheduling and delay analysis, with proficiency in software such as Primavera and Microsoft Project (MSP).MIS reporting for HQ monitoring, ensuring real-time tracking of contractual claims, disputes, risks, and compliance metrics. Preferred Qualifications & Experience:Experience in managing contracts for hydropower, tunneling, and large-scale infrastructure projects, minimum of 6-10 years.Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, particularly in FIDIC-based contracts, bespoke contract terms, and claims management.Ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to resolve contractual issues effectively.
