As a Senior Accountant for the Accounting Services team, you will work as part of a group of critical thinkers to help clients understand and solve accounting issues. You will be responsible for supporting the Accounting Supervisor and other team members with client accounting and payroll tax needs. Essential Functions: Acquire and share knowledge with the team. Complete assignments and priorities for timely completion while communicating issues with the Supervisor. Train, guide, and provide feedback to team members to improve their knowledge and ability of work assignments. Maintenance of General Ledger accounts, profit centers, and cost centers. Accounting for daily transactions and posting adjusting journal entries. Prepare financial statements for independent or consolidating entities. Perform flux analysis and other review procedures to identify misstatements of account balances. Prepare work papers and reconciliations to support account balances and adjustments with sufficient detail that explains the procedures. Able to review and organize data to identify missing information and to communicate queries. Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to solve challenging, complex issues in a collaborative environment. Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited university. Licensing / Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or currently progressing towards a CPA or CA certification is a plus. Minimum 3 to 5 years of public accounting experience, or experience working with a U.S. CPA firm’s back office or provider. Technical knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, and . Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, familiar with several technology and software platforms. Ability to multi-task with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
