Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceLead and manage the day-to-day operation of the department and ensure service standards are followedAddress guest concerns and react quickly, logging and notifying proper departments as requiredTo liaise with the Valet Supervisor in order to ensure an efficient Uniform Program that includes proper inventories, ordering and distribution of uniforms, as well as preventive maintenance program for proper upkeep of all uniforms. To take full responsibility for managing linen inventories and linen quality controls, inclusive of conducting accurate quarterly linen inventories; and to ensure accurate linen distribution to guest floors and Food & Beverage outlets. To keep records of linen productions and losses, and to maintain proper linen discard programs, including rag control and distribution.Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetingsManage the departmental budget in a fiscally responsible mannerOversee the recruitment and training of all Laundry ColleaguesBalance operational, administrative and Colleague needsFollow departmental policies and proceduresReport necessary maintenance itemsFollow all safety and sanitation policiesOther duties as assignedQualificationsPrevious leadership experience requiredComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferredUniversity/College degree in a related discipline an assetExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesMinimum of five years laundry experienceKnowledge of occupational hazards and of necessary safety precautionsAdditional InformationOral and written fluency in English
