Position Summary The Transformational Teaching Fellowship (TTF) Lead Teacher role offers a pathway for Teach For India’s graduating Fellows and Alumni to work within schools led by the Circle and TFIx Leaders to: Keep improving towards advancing the learning and leadership of children growing up in low-income communities.  Continue to grow as teachers and support the growth of peer teachers in schools aspiring to transform. Deepen their practice as a teacher to create a significant impact with students directly, building further on what they learned during the two years of the TFI Fellowshipin the short-term. Build the skill and capacity of teachers and/or lead school-wide initiatives to strengthen and transform student learning and leadership across the school. Become part of a passionate community of excellent practitioners who will push their own, and each other’s, thinking and work in this area. Tenure and Stipend: The Transformational Teaching Fellow Lead Teacher Role is a 2-year opportunity (with a review at the end of Year 1). Teach For India and the partner organisation will both contribute to the TTF Lead Teacher stipend.  I. Teach For India will provide a base stipend of Rs. 33,333 per month plus housing and travel allowance (same as the Teach For India two-year Fellowship). II. The Circle will offer an additional stipend (approx. 10,000 per month ). This will be paid directly to the TTF Lead Teacher by the partner organisation.  Here is a list of The Circle Schools where the opportunity is available. Please note that the Fellows are expected to be based out of these locations if they are offered the role. The Sky High led by Akash Yadav located in Akbarpur, Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh. Aagamya Foundation led by Arhan Shah located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. GHK Lab School led by Pahulmeet Singh located in Ghoman, Gurdaspur, Punjab. HOPE School led by Sakshi Shivastava located in Jalalabad, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. SURRAH led by Shrey Rawat located in Katapatthar, Uttarakhand. Kamal Vidya Niketan led by Shruti Mehta located in Alirajpur, Madhya Pradesh. Team Overview The Transformational Teaching Fellowship 2025-26 will have a cohort size of approx. 15-20 Fellows. Some will teach in classrooms across Teach For India Cities and others will work as Lead Teachers - teaching and supporting the growth of teachers and leading whole school initiatives in The Circle schools and TFIx Programs.  Responsibilities As a TTF Lead Teacher placed in The Circle school, you will: Take up the full teaching load for the classrooms they are placed in. Co-create and set aspirational holistic goals for students for the year and design and execute a rigorous plan (keeping in mind that learning happens both inside and outside the school hours) that will help students achieve the outlined goals. Contribute to accelerating Student learning and leadership within their placement school through building teacher capacity and/or leading school-wide initiatives. Write an Action Research paper that outlines the impact and learnings from a key shift in their own practice. You will be provided with the following support: Within the placement school: The Circle will offer on-ground support to settle into the locality and school/ community.  The Circle will set contextual and meaningful goals for teaching, developing teachers and contribution to the school.  The Circle will offer on-ground coaching and feedback towards the goals. Nationally: TTF Lead Teachers will be managed directly by the Transformational Teaching Fellowship Lead who will offer personalised feedback and coaching towards supporting TTF Lead Teachers to meet their goals.  TTF Lead Teachers will operate as a community of practice with all TTF’s. Together we will create learning experiences including in person Retreats, share practice and read to advance our understanding of student learning. Exposure to local, national and global best practice through i) opportunities to engage in KER/TIJ Learning Loops and City Discussions ii) access to latest Teach For India Content/Ped National training iii) access to opportunities created by partner organisations such as CENTA, Teach For All Global Learning Lab, Createnet etc.. Additional Responsibilities Knowledge and Technical Skills Competencies and Abilities Values and Mindsets Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations Bachelor’s Degree from any stream. Completion of the two-year Teach For India fellowship (as of 31 May, 2025). Evidence of leading a significant shift in student learning/leadership outcomes.  Strong desire to continue teaching and/or take on roles such as lead teacher, teacher trainer, school leadership in the future. Preferred Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations Transformational Teaching Fellows and Lead Teachers may consider enrolling in a distance-learning B.Ed. Program (such as IGNOU, JNU, etc).  Highly recommended: Accredit competence in teaching through passing CENTA Teaching Professionals Olympiad and/or completing BEd/MEd/ iPGCE etc.  Desirable: Evidence of contributing to the learning and growth of adults.
