Job ResponsibilitiesDelivering annual targets for the quality function in the plant as per High 5 Metrics.Ensuring products leaving the plant have near-zero quality defects.Formulating and implementing Quality strategy in line with business requirements.Planning and executing all Quality-related projects within timelines.Acting as the functional expert in Quality, leading and guiding teams.Working closely with manufacturing teams to deploy systems yielding desired results.Ensuring Team leads are well trained to handle and resolve customer queries/issues related to Quality within defined SLAs.Collaborating with Production, NPD, SCM, and relevant stakeholders to minimize Quality issues, reducing customer complaints and increasing satisfaction.Enabling teams to solve Customer Quality problems promptly.Monitoring supplier product quality and taking continuous feedback from Internal stakeholders to deliver the highest quality products to customers.Ensuring Quality is built into products and processes at suppliers' end using Quality tools like Control Plan, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, etc.Implementing corrective and preventive actions related to quality.Utilizing systematic processes like 8D/A3 and guiding teams in their effective use.Leading successful Customer Audits/Visits, closing Customer Audit Observations on time, and conducting regular team reviews.Working with Regional teams to proactively address customer issues.Initiating continuous improvement on FPY, scrap, and rework to achieve set targets and year-over-year improvements.Implementing changes in Quality Management Systems (EQMS) continuously.Maintaining a close working relationship with the Service Organization and driving FSBs implementation.Timely and accurate collection of Warranty data, driving down annual warranty rate year-over-year.Participating in customer calls/discussions, providing appropriate expertise on reliability.Increasing productivity by reducing costs of poor quality and achieving product reliability.Qualifications Education: BE/ME degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Experience: 20+ years in Quality, with at least 5 years as Head of Quality. Power electronics background preferred. Technical Knowledge:Thorough knowledge of Problem Solving, ISO, EQMS, Six Sigma, Customer Systems.Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and methodologies.Six Sigma BB Certification preferred.Familiarity with Eaton quality system advantageous.
