The Network Operations Specialist will be responsible for network administration, computer network operations, troubleshooting, and monitoring the Network Operations Center (NOC).Client location – CanadaREMOTE (INDIA) - FULL TIME - CONTRACT ROLEWORKING HOURS – NIGHT SHIFT, EST TIME ZONERESPONSIBILITIES:• Assist in planning, design, documentation and implementation of various systems to include servers,network equipment and software applications.• Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring, analysis, tuning and capacity planning• Assist in the configuration and deployment of core and peripheral network devices like Firewall, coreswitches, routers on any model etc.• Proactive monitoring of all network devices, services, and servers using a combination of toolsto ensure high availability and SLA’s.• Manage & and troubleshoot network and Internet connectivity throughout the organization.• Work closely with the fellow tech team members to provide end-user support and issue resolution.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging tools and technologies.• Analyzes and troubleshoots the network logs and tracks the nature and resolution of problems, monitorsusage to ensure security of data and access privileges; monitors data to optimize network performance.and resolves critical network failures.• Research, evaluate and recommend technologies to support business requirements.• Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings.• Assist in the documentation of each office network configuration and troubleshooting procedure.REQUIREMENTS• Experience in BGP, OSFP, OSI and EIGRP• Experience in configuration and management of Next-Gen Firewalls like Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco• Define network policies and procedures.• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.• Ability to create network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communicationsystems.• Ability to work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organization.• Experience working on MPLS, SDWAN, LAN.• Maintain, monitor, and upgrade enterprise applications.• Provide emergency support during any outages.• Experience using Network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, SYSLOG servers, SNMP and WiresharkPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Degree in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related work experience & must have CompTIA Network + or CCNA/CCNP Certified professional.• At least 5 years + experience working as a network administrator.• Must present a highly professional image and attitude.• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
