As we scale, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the development team, oversee sprint execution, and drive the successful deployment of Sapience’s location-based business model MVP and future marketplace expansion.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the software development team, managing sprint cycles and backlog prioritization.Design and oversee scalable backend and frontend architectures for Sapience’s education platform.Ensure seamless API integration across QuickBooks, Shopify, Microsoft Teams, and HubSpot.Oversee the development of customer portals, session tracking systems, and payment automation.Monitor system scalability and ensure high availability for multi-location support.Work directly with leadership to align technical execution with business objectives.Mentor developers and establish coding best practices to improve engineering efficiency.Qualifications5+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and backlog management.Experience in full-stack development environments (Node.js, Python, React.js, Vue.js).Hands-on experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS/GCP/Azure).Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and scalable infrastructure design.Ability to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and execute effectively.Preferred SkillsExperience in multi-location SaaS, EdTech, or large-scale consumer applications.Knowledge of AI-driven automation, ChatGPT APIs, and workflow optimization.Understanding of payment gateway integrations and financial system automation.Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide developers.Why Join Sapience?
