This role reports to the Information Security Team Lead at Sphera.Responsibilities:Perform full cycle incident investigation and responseAssist in maintaining SOC tools, such as SIEM and NGAV/XDRExecute information security projects and initiatives, to enhance cybersecurity posture and mitigate riskPerform threat hunting and other proactive monitoringAutomate security processes, tasks, and reportsSupport gathering core information security metricsQualifications: Skills RequiredProficiency in common security tools, such as SIEM, NGAV/XDR, firewalls, and email securityAbility to perform full cycle incident responseAdvanced understanding of security investigation proceduresAdvanced understanding of core information security concepts, especially endpoint security and network securityAbility to assess and control for information security risksAbility to read and understand application/script code, as well as the ability to develop scripts and perform automationAbility to work outside of shift hours to participate in incident response, as requiredAbility to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writingAbility to foster a collaborative relationship with colleaguesAbility to prioritize tasks, projects, and other responsibilitiesWillingness to learn and grow skillsType of Education RequiredBachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related fieldHold or willing to obtain industry recognized certification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, etc.
